Tottenham Hotspur have officially announced the signing of Mason Melia from St Patrick’s Athletic in a £1.5 million deal. The 17-year-old striker will remain with the Dublin club for the 2025 League of Ireland season before joining Spurs on January 1, 2026.

Melia made history at just 15 years old, becoming the youngest player ever to score in the Irish top flight. His move also marks the first-ever £1m-plus sale in League of Ireland history. The deal includes a 20% sell-on clause, and Melia has signed a contract that runs until 2031.
