The Golden State Warriors improved to 3-1 after an impressive 124-106 comeback win over the New Orleans Pelicans. After falling behind 31-14 after the first quarter, the Warriors dominated the rest of the way through.
They outscored the Pelicans by double digits in each of the other quarters in this basketball game. There were plenty of encouraging signs for the Warriors in this one. With Stephen Curry missing the game due to a left peroneal strain, the Warriors were always going to face an uphill battle in this contest.
The lineup and rotations received a healthy dose of change as a result. In that process, the Warriors received a strong outpouring of offense from a somewhat unlikely source.
Lindy Waters played 30 minutes for the team and scored a season-high 21 points. Brandin Podziemski was another player who had a strong performance for the Warriors. He also scored a season-high on Tuesday, putting up 19 points. Podziemski had plenty of praise to give out when asked about his teammate, Waters, at the post-game press conference.
