Kwara State Police Arrest Parents of Suspected Killer in Student’s Death

The Kwara State Police Command has arrested the parents of the suspected killer of a 21-year-old female student, Awesu Mojisola, from the Kwara State College of Health Technology, Offa. They are among five other suspects detained for allegedly tampering with evidence against their son.

Suspects Paraded by Police

During a press briefing in Ilorin on Friday, the Kwara State Police Commissioner, Victor Olaiya, revealed that one of the suspects arrested is a staff member of the hotel where the tragic incident occurred.

“After further investigation, it was discovered that the hotel staff on duty found the deceased’s body in the room and unlawfully disposed of her body at the refuse dump,” the police commissioner stated.

Arrest of Notable Figures

Among those arrested are Prophet Adebayo Adeniyi, popularly known as Prophet Ogunse, and his wife. They are the parents of the primary suspect, Adebayo Joshua Happiness. The couple allegedly attempted to tamper with evidence by retrieving their son’s belongings from his school after his arrest.

The Kwara State Police continue to investigate the case, emphasizing their commitment to ensuring justice for the victim.
