Fulham’s Transfer Moves After Re-signing Ryan Sessegnon
After a five-year spell at Tottenham Hotspur, Ryan Sessegnon has returned to Fulham and Craven Cottage this summer. Spurs initially had high hopes for Sessegnon when they signed him in 2019, seeing him as a future England regular.
However, persistent injuries have hindered the 24-year-old’s progress since his move to north London, leading Tottenham to decide against offering him a new contract.
Fulham have taken a calculated risk in re-signing their former star, hoping he can fill multiple roles on the left flank. But like Tottenham’s recent acquisition of Dominic Solanke, it appears Fulham’s spending spree is far from over.
Fulham and Tottenham Compete for Joachim Andersen
Ange Postecoglou is still looking to strengthen Tottenham’s backline this summer, especially with the demands of a Europa League campaign. With Tosin Adarabioyo departing Fulham for Chelsea on a free transfer, Fulham is also in search of a defender with a similar profile.

Recent reports have linked Tottenham with a move for Crystal Palace defender Joachim Andersen. The 28-year-old has surprisingly emerged as a target for Spurs, despite Postecoglou’s current defensive pairing being well-established.
Neither Andersen, Cristian Romero, nor Micky van de Ven would be content with frequent bench time, but Tottenham may be aiming for that level of competition within their squad.
Fulham, however, has already made a move. According to journalist David Ornstein, Fulham submitted a £20 million bid for Andersen, although it falls short of Crystal Palace’s £40 million asking price. Despite the initial rejection, talks between the two clubs are ongoing.
From Palace’s perspective, it would be unusual to sell both Andersen and Marc Guehi in the same transfer window, especially since Guehi is also attracting interest from Newcastle United. Given how outstanding Andersen has been for Palace in recent seasons, either Fulham or Tottenham may eventually meet the asking price to secure his services.
