What Ange Postecoglou Shouted at His Players After New Tottenham Signing Yang Min-hyeok’s Performance

Tottenham Hotspur played their fourth pre-season friendly of the summer on Wednesday against a K League XI.

After a fairly tight start, Tottenham managed to step up their game and secure another 4-3 victory. This win marks their fourth pre-season triumph this summer.

Spurs fans were also treated to a first look at their latest signing, Yang Min-hyeok, who started for the K League side. However, something the South Korean did left manager Ange Postecoglou visibly frustrated on the touchline.

What Yang Min-hyeok Did That Frustrated Ange Postecoglou

Although Archie Gray is the only new face expected to play a significant role from the start this season, Yang will join Tottenham in January, bringing excitement with his potential.

Yang showcased why Spurs were eager to sign him with a strong performance in Seoul. Starting on the wing, he frequently outmaneuvered his defenders, looking very sharp in the attack.

“The 18-year-old, who only made his K League debut this year, flew past Emerson Royal. Lovely turn,” said commentator Rob Daly.

Shortly after this moment, Postecoglou was seen on the sidelines, passionately addressing his players during a quick water break. The Spurs Play commentator added, “You can hear him [Postecoglou] say, ‘you’ve got to go man for man!’ We’ve seen occasions where Team K League – remember, this is not a group of players necessarily familiar with each other – have played through Spurs’ press.”

Yang’s impressive performance repeatedly troubled Tottenham’s defense.

What Ange Postecoglou Said About Yang Min-hyeok

Yang, an 18-year-old winger, is still early in his career, even in the K League, with just 24 appearances. Despite this, he has already made a significant impact, with eight goals and four assists.

Postecoglou expressed his delight with Tottenham’s acquisition of Yang, viewing him as a valuable addition for the future.

“We’re delighted to have him as part of the club,” said Postecoglou. “He was identified by our scouting department. We’re always looking to the future as well as the present. He’s a very exciting player.”

In other news, an ‘outstanding’ Tottenham midfielder has hinted he might leave on loan after the South Korea tour.
