Federico Chiesa Set to Join Tottenham in Major Summer Transfer

World-Class Player Awaits Decision on Potential Move to Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur are anxiously waiting to find out if one of their key summer targets will be allowed to leave his current club.

Head coach Ange Postecoglou has been patient, with only Archie Gray joining Tottenham permanently so far this summer. This could soon change, as Spurs have agreed on a deal to sign South Korean winger Yang Min-hyuk from Gangwon FC. However, the 18-year-old won’t be available until January 2025, as he is expected to return to South Korea on loan.

Potential Fourth Summer Signing

Tottenham are poised to make their fourth signing of the summer if Yang’s transfer goes through. However, the player in question is set to meet with his current club to determine his future.

Postecoglou has openly expressed his desire to strengthen Tottenham’s attacking options. Even though Yang’s expected signing is promising, it offers little immediate relief, as he won’t join the squad until mid-season.

Federico Chiesa: The Next Target

Tottenham are reportedly keen on signing Federico Chiesa from Juventus this summer. Recent reports suggest that Spurs are prepared to bid up to £29.5 million for the Italian winger.

According to Calciomercato, the 26-year-old has a scheduled meeting with Juventus to discuss his future. Chiesa is entering the final 12 months of his contract in Turin, and new manager Thiago Motta’s plans for him are uncertain.

Meeting to Determine Chiesa’s Future

The meeting with Juventus will likely result in a ‘definitive separation,’ paving the way for Chiesa’s potential move to Tottenham. Reports indicate that Chiesa has chosen Spurs as his next club, despite options to stay in Serie A.

“Chiesa will say goodbye to Italy. He won’t go to Roma or Napoli but to the Premier League. He is close to joining Tottenham for €30-35 million (£25-29.5 million),” said a presenter on SportMediaSet.

A Statement Addition for Spurs

Signing Federico Chiesa would be a significant addition for Tottenham, especially given the relatively low cost for a player of his caliber. In 131 appearances for Juventus, the 26-year-old has scored 32 goals and provided 23 assists, helping the club win numerous trophies.

This potential move could bring a much-needed boost to Tottenham’s frontline as they prepare for the upcoming season.
