Tottenham Push to Sign ‘World-Class’ Forward Training Alone

Tottenham Hotspur have landed in Japan to kick start their pre-season tour of Asia. However, the transfer window for player signings has been slow under Ange Postecoglou this summer.

Tottenham’s Transfer Window Challenges

Spurs have successfully offloaded several players recently, including Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg to Marseille. Only a few players remain who could still leave, such as Richarlison, who has drawn interest from Saudi Arabia. Amidst this, Tottenham may have received a boost in their pursuit of a key target who is currently training alone.

Tottenham Target Training Alone

Spurs are eyeing forward players to strengthen their attack, with names like Eberechi Eze and Pedro Neto on their radar. Their transfer plans could change significantly if a player like Richarlison departs. Among the quality names linked to Tottenham is Federico Chiesa, whom Spurs are reportedly pursuing this summer.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Juventus have seen Chiesa return to training following his delayed summer break due to the Euros. However, the Italy international will not join the Juventus squad in Germany and will instead train alone. The 26-year-old is considering his future as he is not in the plans of new Juventus manager Thiago Motta. With just one year remaining on his current deal, Juventus has not offered Chiesa a new contract.

Potential Bargain in Federico Chiesa

Chiesa, hailed as ‘world-class’ during his time with Juventus, has vast experience, including six goals in the Champions League and numerous pieces of silverware, such as the European Championship. The main potential issue with this deal is the player’s wages. However, it has been suggested that Spurs have prepared a deal where Chiesa would earn just under £100k per week. If this is the case, Tottenham could land a real bargain.
